Team Dame Book Club
At Dame Salon Spa, learning is part of our culture. We believe that when we grow as individuals, we grow stronger as a team and ultimately create an even better experience for our guests.
Our most recent team book club focused on The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and the impact has been powerful. This simple yet meaningful read encouraged us to open our hearts and minds to new perspectives, challenge limiting beliefs and embrace personal growth. As a team dedicated to learning, we intentionally choose books that help us evolve not only as professionals but as people. This recent read sparked meaningful conversations around growth mindset vs. fixed mindset, communication and how we show up for one another each day.
The Four Agreements : Here are the four simple, yet transformative agreements we explored together:
1. Be Impeccable With Your Word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Use your words to build, encourage and uplift.
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally What others say and do is a reflection of their own reality not yours. This agreement encourages confidence, resilience and compassion.
3. Don’t Make Assumptions Ask questions. Communicate clearly. Avoid misunderstandings by seeking clarity and understanding.
4. Always Do Your Best Your best will look different from day to day and that’s okay. Showing up with effort and intention is what matters most.
This book reminded us that growth is a choice and at Dame, we choose growth. We’re proud to be a team that is committed to learning, evolving and supporting one another along the way. Because when we grow together, we become better leaders, better teammates and better daymakers. ✨
